A typical Ella look:)
Look at those beautiful blue eyes!
- Is 25 inches in length (75 percentile), 13 lbs 11 ozs in weight (50 percentile) and her head size is 16.1 inches (47 percentile)
- Is a wiggle worm!! Sometimes it feels like you can hardly hold her right because she is constantly moving. It's nearly impossible to give her a bath by yourself.
-Starting to laugh. She first gave us a hint of her laugh when she was interacting with Gianna. It also seems she may be quite ticklish:)
- Almost anyone who sees her for the first time says something to the effect of, "look at all that hair!"
- Has started to sleep in the crib in the room she shares with Gianna. Most nights she starts out in the crib, wakes up, sleeps in the pack-n-play, and usually by morning is back sleeping in mom and dad's bed.
- Seems to be entering the stranger shyness stage-- she definitely knows when she's not in mom or dad's arms. Sometimes she's fine with it, other times, she's quite clearly not.
- Has a great big smile and a sad lip that can make your heart melt.
- Sticks out her tongue a lot!
- Is a hot baby. Granted it's been a hot summer, but many days you'll find her hair all wild and sweaty;)
- Does NOT like her car seat and definitely makes that known.
- Seems interested in food; many times while we are eating she will sit there and watch every bite we put into our mouths.
- Likes to be carried in mommy's wrap. It usually doesn't take long for her to get antsy in a stroller, but she can last a long walk in the wrap, watching the world around her.
- Almost always has her hands (or ours) in or near her mouth. She also seems to have settled on being a thumb sucker, or should I say finger sucker! She's taken a liking to the middle two fingers on her right hand. If she's really desperate, she'll take a passy, but most of the time she'll spit it out as fast as you put it in.
- Has great head control and leg strength.
-Had her first experience "swimming" at the local outdoor pool!
- Is rolling over! I must say, I'm not use to this! Gianna didn't intentionally roll from her back to her tummy until she was over one year old! I think Ella is going to introduce us to a whole new world of baby movement;)
I was reading my blog post about the ultra sound we had for Ella at 20 weeks and it was really neat to read because some of what she does now was already what she was doing in the womb!
"The baby was VERY active..."
"this baby moved a lot!"
"At one point we could see her stick out her tongue and put her hands by her face."
What described Ella at 20 weeks, continues to describe her at 4 months:)
Good job Ella Bella!
