Our Easter Triduum began with quite the bang, literally;) On Holy Thursday, right before we were about to head out the door to travel to Illinois to visit and meet baby Kai, Ella was swinging her feet between our kitchen table and a side table when her hands slipped and she hit the corner of the table, right by her eye. I was sitting at the table and knew immediately, whatever she just did, was going to leave a mark! So for the rest of Easter, and a couple of weeks to follow, she sported a black eye! Luckily, she missed hitting her eye directly, and it wasn't any worse than it was. She did have to explain the incident quite a bit, however, when she went back to school the following Tuesday;)
I participated in a saint peg swap again this year. The kids had fun finding them around the living room in a little scavenger hunt on Easter morning.
And of course they had fun searching for their Easter baskets as well;)
Gianna sang at Easter mass and then we headed to La Crosse to spend the beautiful day with family.
We searched for eggs and Easter baskets at G&G Thompson's,
spent time with some extended family,
and visited with G&G Teska for a little bit as well!
All in all, it was a Happy Easter Day:)
