Nathan at One Month

Got to meet Aunt Beth and soon to be Uncle Matt for the first time!

Often called Baby Nathan (aka "Baby Nathee" by Ella) or Buddy
Eyes seem to be a blue-gray color
Has a strong neck and can hold his head up pretty well
Grew an inch in length at his 2 week appointment (21 inches) and well surpassed his birth weight, weighing in at 8 lbs 12 ozs.  (He was doing so well, the pediatrician said she didn't need to see him until 2 months.)
Likes to eat when he's hungry, but gets very fussy if I try and feed him and he's not.
Introduced to a pacifier at about 2 weeks and has taken to it very well! (Works well when he's not hungry but still wants to suck)
Just starting to grow out of the newborn size and into the 0-3 month size.
Has not seen much of the outside world, thanks to this lovely winter weather:/
Often wakes up with a stuffy nose that has to be suctioned out (an electronic suction and saline are very helpful!)
Starting to become more and more observant of the world around him:)
Overall, is a very good baby.  Seems to have an unsettled time some evenings but can usually be calmed even if he can't be put to sleep very easily.
Looks a lot like Gianna did as a baby and therefore, looks a lot like his Daddy:)
Is a well loved addition to our family!

Both girls have transitioned well to their brother's presence.

Ella wasn't too sure of him when he was born, when he got to stay in the hospital with mom and she didn't, but since then she has warmed up to him very well.  She often sits by me when I'm feeding or holding him and will hold his hand or touch his head.

Gianna likes to hold him for short stretches and is anxiously awaiting the time when she can hold him without a lot of pillow support and help from mom and dad and potentially carry him by herself too;)

Wow, can't believe I already wrote a ONE month post!!
