Ella at ONE Year Old!

- Weighs 18.96 lbs and is 2 ft 5 in tall

- Loves to sit on chairs and stools by herself and is so proud when she does it

- Likes to "read" books

- Talks on mom and dad's cell phones by putting it behind her ear and making a "HI" sound.

- Will stop what she's doing when she hears an airplane fly over and usually points and says "huh" to let you know she's heard it (I guess that's what happens when grandma and grandpa live so close to an airport;)

- Gives baby dolls hugs by flinging them over her shoulder (usually hanging by their feet:)

- Blows kisses and waves bye, bye

- Is a mama's girl 

- Her favorite foods are breads and meats

- Her least favorite foods are vegetables

- Has been introduced to whole milk, but has yet to fully embrace it

- Likes drinking water from her sippy cup

- Has started walking! Has the ability but doesn't always have the confidence to go with it. Prefers to hold someones hand when she walks, but is getting more daring as the days go by:) Can still be pretty unsteady when she's walking on her own, but it's mainly because she's laughing so hard!

- If I could sum up her personality, I would say she's sweet, feisty, and fast! I should have known from my fast labor with her she would have a need for speed;)  I think part of the reason she can't walk very well on her own yet is because she practically runs when you hold her hand.  I also notice when she's eating if she likes something, you can hardly keep up with her because she's eating up the pieces so fast.

- Has started to sign "more" and "all done"

- Is a messy eater but it's mainly because she's an independent eater who likes to do it all by herself

- Has been a pretty good sleeper lately. She kicks her feet and makes a high pitched moan/hum to fall asleep on her own-- although she also likes to hold a hand as she falls asleep as well. 

 

- Now has a total of 4 teeth!  Her bottom teeth have grown in a lot and her top two are now making their appearance as well.

- Has a hearty laugh, hair that seems to grow lighter every day, and beautiful blue eyes.

-Is greatly loved!!
