Ella's First Oktoberfest Parade!

Fall is definitely in the air when the Oktoberfest parade rolls around. After a bit of himming and hawing about whether we should try and go to the parade this year or not, knowing it would be very crowded, we decided we would give it a try since the weather was so nice. The LaVoy's and my grandma actually found a very decent seat just up from the boulevard so we joined them for a bit of parade fun. I've always enjoyed a good parade; I think it has something to do with the free aspect of it all. Free entertainment and free candy-- what's not to like about that;)
For the first time ever, Andy decided to run in the Mapleleaf Road Race. He joined the "Northside Running Club" and had some fun putting his running shoes to good use. Since biking is a little harder to do these days with a young family to take care of, he enjoyed the chance to at least take in a run this year.
