The girls gave Daddy their gift early Sunday morning.
(If you listen closely, you can hear Gianna tell Andy what she and Ella got him before she even gives him the present:)
(It's hard to get a 2 month old to make a hand print, and of course I had to try it twice;)
We all enjoyed the races again this year. Well as much as you can, that is, with a potty training 3 year old and a 2 month old;) Gianna actually decided to kick the potty training into full swing on Sunday. I brought our little potty along just in case and, low and behold, she stayed dry the whole time we were in Stillwater!
Right when the men's pro race began she said she had to go potty in the car (she had already done this once before we walked to the races). I was feeding Ella so that left Andy to try and make it back to the van so she could go potty. When he came back I was expecting to hear how he got to change wet underwear on Father's Day, but instead he told me she did it! This was later followed by me taking her 2 more times to the Dairy Queen to go potty; every time was a pleasant surprising success!
We ended our Father's Day celebration by going out to eat at a local restaurant (with two successful trips to the potty) and by taking a princess bike ride around the block. (We won't mention what happened when Andy tried to get her to go poopy on the potty-- let's just say we're still working on that and Gianna reminded him how lovely it is to be the father of a potty training 3 year old;)
The only downfall to the day was this:
After arriving home we discovered we were the victims of a "hit and run." A car must have hit us in the parking lot and failed to let us know! Unfortunately, we don't have enough of a recollection of the car that was next to us (if that was even the car who hit us) so we will have to figure out how we want to deal with it all. The damage isn't horrible, but when you're van isn't that old, it's enough to bother you.
All in all, however, we had a very nice day and want to wish our fathers a "Happy Father's Day!"
Just caught up on all the blogs!!! Glad to feel up to date with the Teska's again:) great pictures and stories, glad you guys enjoyed your father's day!!!
