Some Time in La Crosse

Last week, Wednesday, we headed to La Crosse for an extended weekend so Andy could go biking on the bluffs (going up those hills is the very last thing I'd want to do on a bike, but hey, that's why he's the biker and I'm not;) He had some great riding weather, and you can read all about it on his blog! Andy's mom and I also worked on Gianna's scapbook. We are making one for the first year of her life and hope to have it done by her first birthday. We'll see if we can do it... we're on month 3 and her first birthday is less than 2 months away!
During our stay we also spent some time with family and friends:
Thursday night we had a birthday dinner for Aunt Molly. Molly is going to have to help Gianna blow out her candle on her birthday too;)

Friday night, we went out to eat with my family and Andy's family. We went to Fox Hollow for some fish. The fish was very good, but after waiting almost 1 1/2 hours to get a table, I think anything would have tasted good at that point;) If we would have known it was going to be that long, we wouldn't have stayed, but when they say an hour wait, you never figure it's going to be quite that long, let alone longer! While we were waiting for our table, however, Andy passed the time by tending to a lady who passed out in the lobby. He went to the bathroom to wash off one of Gianna's toys and didn't come back for about 1/2 an hour. We were all wonder where he was, as we figured Gianna's toy wasn't that dirty, but then we spotted him kneeling on the floor. In the end, all was well, and we enjoyed our dinner outing.

On Saturday we had a surprise get together for Mike and Maria. They thought they were coming over to Andy's parents' house so his grandparents could meet Weston, but really we had some of our friends there. It was great getting the DTS gang back together again, and we had a fun time reminiscing about days gone by:)
