Happy 2nd Birthday Ella!

Part 2 of Ella's 2nd Birthday-- her actual birthday day, April 10th:)

Pancakes for breakfast and "Happy Birthday" songs on the computer

Trying out her "new" bike

Birthday phone call-- time for some prayers-- rearranging some birthday decorations-- how tall is Ella?!-- Daddy putting a band aid on an "ouchie"-- playing a game with Gianna:)

Out to eat at Culver's for a Birthday lunch

Finishing the night at Grandma and Grandpa Thompson's:)

Ella at 2 Years

Weighs 22lbs (3rd percentile) and is 33 inches (25th percentile): "A Peanut"

Finally gets to face forward in her car seat!

Has really blossomed in her speech

Uses a lot of single and two word phrases along with some three and four word phrases

"Yeeaaah"; "Did it!"; "Ellie do it!"; "No, mama read it."

Likes to put on her tutu to be a "Rina" (Ballerina) 

Likes to dance and sing

 Sings about Jesus and "Mary, Mary"

Often refers to herself as Baby or Ellie

Loves to have books read to her

Is very persistent in her dislike of vegetables

 If they are not very, very, very well hidden, she won't eat them

About the only vegetable we can get her to willingly eat is squash soup 

(partly because of the crackers in it;)

If she doesn't want to try something, just try it, it is nearly impossible to get her to

Some foods she does like are cereal, bread, bananas, eggs, some cheeses, apples, yogurt, nuts, peanut butter, water, milk, spaghetti, pizza, chicken nuggets, and chips;)

She's not necessarily a big sweet eater either, but she does love sweet candies like Starbursts and Jellybeans

Still a thumb sucker

Currently, if you ask her how old she is, she says "3!" or "4!"

Loves to play with the kitchen set and make "pizza"
 Also loves to play doctor and give people a check up

Enjoys playing with her big sister and likes to laugh with her:)

Has a GREAT laugh!

LOVES her "tappy" shoes and also loves to put on pretty dresses.
(has a developing opinion about what she does and doesn't want to wear)

 

 And if she can get her hands on her sister's dresses, those are a favorite as well;)

Is full of energy and loved SO much!!
