We've been living in our apartment for about 2 1/2 months, and so far, it has been a pretty smooth adjustment. Our four person family fits quite nicely into our two bedroom apartment, and so do our belongings. (
Especially thanks to the free storage Andy's parents are giving us in their basement for all our belongings that
don't fit;)
Overall, in comparison to the living space of our house, the living space in our apartment doesn't feel that much smaller; it is definitely smaller, but the space can be utilized pretty effectively.
We like the open layout of the apartment, and I like the security of living on the third floor of the building. The coin operated laundry room is literally right outside our door, and we are within walking distance to a few parks (there doesn't seem to be a lack of parks in Winona, that's for sure!)
Probably the hardest part for me, post home ownership, is not being able to paint any of the white walls;)

There is a coziness about the place I like (or maybe it's the less
space= less clutter= less cleaning/ maintenance aspect I like better;). Come a year
from now, we may be eagerly anticipating home ownership again, as the
"coziness" may become a little less attractive, but for now, it is good
to be here.
I have never seen an apartment look so great!!

They should use your pictures to advertise for their apartment building!
