Loves doing her own hair and combing and styling her Aunt Beth's hair

She can often be seen redoing her bun several times a day or braiding her hair, anytime, anywhere

Has her own sense of style and an array of things she does and doesn't like to wear

(Added little rubber bands to the gold hoop earring she got for her birthday;)

Can be quiet and shy at school but also has a competitive side

Likes to win games and running races

Greatly enjoys reading books and especially listening to audio books

Likes reading the Boxcar Children and Babysitter's Club Little Sister books

Overall, enjoyed her 4th grade year and her last year at St. Stan's

Was not the biggest fan of having to wear a mask all year, but tolerated it

Also doesn't love wearing uniforms, but tolerates that too

Created a Kleenex Machine for her Invention Convention in school

Is the first to admit that she is not the most organized

On the last day of school, she brought home two FULL bags of papers from her desk, a lot of them being various doodles and drawings.  I asked her, "How could you even close your desk?!"  She told me, "I couldn't!"

On the last day of school her backpack was also full of sweaters, hats, and mittens that had stayed in her locker for half the year.

Likes to give homemade gifts

Loves buying little surprise toys

Needs her down time and is our only child who very rarely complains that she is bored

She can almost always find something creative to do

She LOVES to create with chalk and sand; add in some water colors and flowers, and she can create some pretty cool things;)

Her imaginary friend Lisa may still be around, but we don't hear too much about her anymore. The last time she talked about Lisa was on election night, Nov. 2020; she and Lisa wrote letters back and forth to each other about Halloween.

Sings in the shower and also likes to make up her own songs to sing

Hides under her bed when she is upset

Loves movies and shows

One of her go-to snacks is a bagel

Wants to live in Wisconsin and be a paramedic when she grows up. We think she has the personality to do so.

She is the bravest one when shots are needed and often volunteers to go first

In stressful moments, she often stays close to see if she can help

Still great at playing imagination games and including her brothers in that type of play

Since her name starts with an "E," Dominic thought it was fun this summer to call her "Tennies" and "Freezes."  The former sounded like "10 E's" to him, and the later ended in "E's"!

She can be completely annoyed by her brothers or they can be some of her best playmates at home

One of her famous phrases is, "Just pause!"

Can be heard calling her siblings "Do-Dads" or "Ding-Dongs"

Loves little kids and babies and can't wait to babysit someday

Got braces this past summer and has officially and completely stopped sucking her thumb!

Prior to this, however, her thumb sucking habit had turned into a thumb chewing habit and was the source of ear pain that remained a mystery and struggle for her for several months, before the connection was finally made!

At the recommendation of her local pediatrician, last spring, we visited a pediatric ENT doctor in Rochester to try and discover the reason for her sometimes very intense ear pain.  Right before that, however, we had the epiphany of connecting it all to her thumb chewing habit.  The ENT doctor noted some inflammation around her jaw and said that habit could absolutely be the cause of her troubles.  Long story short, now that she no longer sucks, or chews, on her thumb, she no longer struggles with ear pain. Yay! Although, it is interesting to note that her ears still remain sensitive to hot and cold.

Her teeth have dramatically changed since the start of her braces, but she has since transitioned to Invisalign aligners for treatment. The orthodontist found her teeth were too short for the appliances he needed to use and decided to try Invisalign instead... she is doing well with them and continues to have a wonderful smile.

Loves hugs

Likes to talk in silly voices and do little dance moves

Loves to scare people

Does not like to be teased in anyway and does not like when things are unfair

Can be stubborn and feisty but is also the most grateful for kind gestures

Is greatly loved and cherished!

We love you Els Bells!!
