Started many of her summer mornings with a bike ride around the block.  Towards the end of the summer, she was able to take a few longer bike rides with Savannah and even took a few solo ones too.

During quarantine time, she missed school and her social interactions the most.

Was very thankful she could still play with her neighborhood friends.

Still enjoys adding to her Shopkins collection and also enjoys building Lego houses.

Had fun creating her own version of Giant Clue after falling in love with the 1992 version of Clue she got for her birthday.

Has a great fear of an overflowing toilet.  (A clog toilet sends her into a shear panic!)  We saw this practical joke on America's Funniest Videos and couldn't resist trying it out on Gianna.😂

Had been growing out her hair for a few years, and it was getting really long!
 She hated combing through it.
Finally got it cut this summer by Aunt Beth!
It is so much easier to manage now.

For 15 weeks, during the current pandemic, she did not get the chance to go into any stores.

(March 15- June 26th)

Although she doesn't necessarily love to shop, she definitely loves to go out and about and missed doing that during the 3 month stretch.

She is still waiting for the chance to go back to thrift store shopping and peruse the book section!

For the most part, she was enjoying her 6th grade year at St. Stan's, until the pandemic hit.  She had a big class crammed into a small classroom (something that could NEVER happen now!)

She received her first love note, complete with gum and a clown fish key chain and had one of her art projects in the art show at the library.

Her school secretary sent her a sweet note when it was clear the 6th grade class would not be able to finish out their final year at school.

The hardest part of having her 6th grade year cut short was not having her official 6th grade graduation.  This would have been a special event that ended her elementary school years and sent her off, in celebration, to her junior high years at Cotter.

To try and still make her feel special, we gave her a moon stone necklace to remind her that we love her "to the moon and back."  It was also given to her to remind her to be like Mary. Mary is like the moon and reflects the light of her son, Jesus.

Had the chance to attend a 4 day color guard camp this summer.

Although her time to learn and practice this new activity was short, she enjoyed it and hopes to have a chance to participate in summer parades next year!

Loves to be outside, play with friends, and grow in her independence

Likes to read and play games

Is up for almost any activity or event that gets her out and about and around people but can also be nervous and shy if she is sent to a new activity by herself

Can get easily frustrated with her younger siblings, and her own limitations, but can also be really easy going at times too

She loves to laugh and likes when everyone just gets along

Although she got on a fairly late schedule this spring and summer, she is more of a morning person that a night one.  She is the easiest child to wake up in the morning and is usually one of the first kids to fall asleep at night, during a movie or a book.

One of her greatest accomplishments this summer was completing an online babysitting course and an in person CPR class (taught by her dad).  As you can see from the picture in the top right corner, she has been practicing her CPR skills with her dad for many years.💓

She is now an officially certified babysitter!!  She is looking forward to opportunities that put her new skills into action.  So far, she has had a few opportunities to watch Dominic in the afternoon, while mom and dad were gone, and also got the chance to go to Madison to help watch and play with her cousin for a couple of days.

She is still not fully comfortable with nights, and would prefer children to already have lunch before she watches them (so she doesn't have to worry about choking), but I know she will grow more and more comfortable as she gets older and will have more opportunities in the future to practice with her sister and brothers.😀

She is a beautiful girl, both inside and out, and is a great blessing to us all!
