Ella at 5 Years Old

Weighs 35 lbs 1 oz (20th percentile) and is 41.9 inches tall (40th percentile)

Is still a thumb sucker.  Although, often throughout the day, you will see her biting on her thumb in her mouth rather than sucking it. (We'll see what kindergarten makes of this habit;)

At her 5 year old appointment, she really wanted the doctor to say she needed glasses.  She didn't. (She has great vision.) Later that day, however, I bought a pair of fake glasses for her.  She tricked Gianna when we picked her up from school... Gianna thought she really needed, and got, glasses;) Since then, she can often be seen wearing her glasses... not on her face, however, on top of her head. (I would have taken a picture, but she seems to have misplaced them, so she hasn't worn them for a few days)

Likes to tag along with her sister and play with their neighborhood friends, but also likes to do her own thing too.

Has an imaginary friend who stayed/lived with us quite often this early spring.  Her name is Lisa and she is from Hawaii.  I never had to set a place for her at the table, but she would often eat lunch and dinner with us. (Ella said she would just share her food with her.)

The other day, however, we met a neighbor girl who is 5 just like Ella.  They enjoyed a little playtime together, and the next day Ella said she looked forward to playing with her friend again, "not her fake friend, her real one."

Has an active imagination and can often be found talking to herself throughout the day.
Can be a little dramatic at times.

Likes spending her days with mom and is usually the most sad, out of all the kids, when I leave.

Likes to cuddle and also likes to whap people when she likes them (or if she gets embarrassed)

Likes to play with Barbies and dolls and likes to color.
Loves going to the park and loves to play in water (whether it's the bath or more recently, a pool!)

Is looking forward to kindergarten this fall and is excited to do preschool gymnastics again this summer.

Some of her nicknames are: Ella Bella, El Bell, Ellie, Ella Fred, Ellie Freds, and Els

Her favorite colors are purple, pink, and blue

Can be bold, wild, and crazy at times, but is also very reserved and quiet too.
Definitely needs her downtime most days... LOVES watching TV and movies!

She also likes to play games on mom's IPad

(Unlike the other two, who will get board with such activities after a time, Ella could probably watch TV and play games all day if you would let her!)

Is a fairly picky eater... although she will try most things if you ask her to, it's hard to get her to fully eat what she doesn't love.
At dinnertime, she is often the last one to finish up and usually needs a lot of prompts to do so:/

Loves mac and cheese, chicken, strawberries, blueberries, pizza, hotdogs, bread, fruit snacks, suckers, and marshmallows

Likes to help cook and bake, and likes to make her lunch all by herself
Likes to "cook" and "bake" in the sandbox too

Likes to "surprise" mom every now and then and have my bowl of yogurt all prepared for me in the morning.

Wants to be a ballerina, a "hair saloner", or a baker when she grows up

Likes to try and cross her eyes and often makes a whistle sound throughout the day (by rolling her tongue on the sides and blowing air through it)

Still likes to change outfits several times a day (and shoes too!). One minute she will be wearing one outfit and the next she has something completely different on.  (Is still working on putting away her barely worn outfits instead of leaving them all over her bedroom floor;)

Her swimsuit and flipflops got a lot of use over the off season months.
Jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts, and socks are only worn if mom makes her... she can't stand tights or white socks

Is our sweet little Ella Bella and is loved so very, very much!!
