Happy 4th Birthday Gianna!

We have a 4 year old little girl living in our home, and I can't believe it!  How can it be that if feels like ages ago since she was a little baby, but the moment we first met her face to face, feels like just yesterday....

Gianna at 4 Years Old:

- Can be quiet and shy at times, but also has a high pitched scream that can make your ears ring

- Is usually pretty agreeable and adaptable
- Loves to get dressed all by herself. It is not unusual now a days for her to sneak into her room and come out completely dressed-- with an outfit of her choosing of course;)

- Often has to be reminded that she's not a bird so she shouldn't flap her arms like one;)

- Her favorite food is grill cheese

- Is a sound sleeper. Usually goes to bed about 8pm and wakes up about 8am.  Does not take a nap during the day anymore and will sleep in if she's tired.

- Sleeps in a big girl bed with no rail. Usually sleeps with her fishy blanket and a stuff animal or doll of some sort, but isn't overly attached to any of them.

- Still plays with her belly button when she is tired.

- Can often be heard singing songs and making up the words if she needs to.  Likes to listen to kid's songs.

- Loves to play outside, especially at the park.

- Also likes to play the Easy Bake Oven app on Dad's phone.

- Likes dolls and barbies and is very much a girly girl who likes jewelery, purses, hair clips and especially headbands.

- Some of her favorite movies are: Mary Poppins, The Rescuers, Snow White, and Annie.  She also likes watching Strawberry Shortcake and Calliou

- Likes to color and draw and make sticker pictures.
Likes to play pretend, especially pretend grocery store.

- Likes to dance but as of yet, has very little coordination;)

- Does NOT like to go on time outs but needs them every now and then.

- Likes to read and likes to go to the library to pick out books.

- Still does not like to be in a room for too long by herself-- usually if you're in one room, she's right there with you. (Although we are starting to see some moments of independence, when she wants to go in her room and play by herself.)

- Her favorite colors are pink and purple

- Pretends to write, but her writing still consists mainly of scribbles-- she does know how to write a few letters though

- If she could go anywhere in the world, she would probably choose the Children's Museum:)

- Is a sweetheart<3
