Gianna wearing one of Mommy's bracelets-- she loves wearing bracelets and other things on her arm. If there is a toy or anything else that resembles a bracelet, she puts it on. Lately, she also blows kisses when she puts a "bracelet" on-- it's quite cute:)
Gianna is really getting brave now... she's walking holding onto only one hand instead of two! Since this video was taken, she has been improving even more. She is getting very good at bending down to pick things up, holding onto other things instead of our hands and keeping her balance, and pulling herself up from a sitting position. She is closer than ever to walking on her own! (And don't worry, that was just cereal she put into her mouth and ate-- she had been eating some shortly before this video was taken.)
FYI: She also seems to associate blowing kisses with goodbye. When she waves bye bye, she will also blow a kiss-- complete strangers are usually quite flattered when she does this. If she's not up for waving bye bye and blowing a kiss however, she will usually just stare the person down with a stern look on her face. Ahh, the many moods of toddler hood:)
Gianna's being so helpful-- unloading the dishwasher! (We won't mention that at the time I was trying to load it.)
You know you have a daughter when....
And you get excited when you finally get the words right in one of the verses the purse sings. (He didn't know I was videotaping him;)
On a side note, I would just like to ask for your prayers for a good friend of ours, Susan. On Tuesday, September 8th, on the Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary, she entered the Community of Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal. She has begun the journey of fulfilling her call to the consecrated life as a religious sister. We are very excited for her and thank God for her friendship! http://www.franciscansisterscfr.com/
Wow! Gianna is SO FAST! She seems like she could totally just take off without you guys...just gotta get up the courage! I'm hoping that both of the girls are really walking by the time we come because it would be so cute to see the three of them walking around and playing together!
ReplyDeleteThe videos of Andy are hilarious and I'm pretty sure Benj can totally relate! He has all of her talking toys and videos memorized! Tell Andy that we are proud of him for figuring out the words all by himself:)
Look at her go! It can't be long now- right!?I also love the pictures of her wearing her bracelet:) Oh, and the videos of Andy are hilarious! Tell him he sounds good singing a song about a purse;)
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures, and about died laughing when Andy was singing- we catch ourselves singing along with Eli's toys and shows all the time- even when he's not around... so funny what parenthood does to a person. The blowing kisses are soooooooo adorable! I remember teaching Elijah "thank you" in sign language, before he could talk, and his version was blowing a kiss. Ahhh... memories... seems like just yesterday he was that age.... now he's laying on the floor, kicking and screaming :)
ReplyDeleteHAHA, love the video of Andy singing...good work:) Also the pictures are so adorable as always!
